Hi Mum, It's Sammy - celebrates 2 years

Yes, the Hi Mum, It's Sammy blog is celebrating its second year of existence today. We can celebrate his many clones and the two spin-off blogs; World Adventures with the Grant Family, and Art Flows Through.

The average clone has humble beginnings; cheap furniture, a tiny home, no career.
We've seen Sammy been married lots of times. He's had many careers over his many clones. And there are nearly an infinite of Sammy spawn offspring across those clones.

I'd like to say thank you to Sammy's fans and followers. To those who have contributed Sims for Sam's stories. To those who comment on the posts. To those who read the stories. To those who have decided to run their own set of clones. I am thankful for each and every one of you, dear readers. Consider yourself virtually hugged.

Two years and over a dozen clones. Are we done with Sammy? Hell no.

  3. @kaleeko - that's ok. I was thinking I'd do a couple photo collages to celebrate but you can see that didn't work out. :) I was working too hard on Shrimp (who wouldn't exist without Sammy since Sam is his great-granddad.)

  4. @Julie You can thank Seaweedy http://todayintheworldofsimsstories.wordpress.com/ for the clone challenge. I was just using it as a method of story telling, it was Seaweedy who wanted some clone challenge rules.

Marty seems to be going well!

  5. Awww, I still think you should!! I'd love to see some collage-y goodness. :D In fact, see this as a formal request--I would like a Sam collage. *fervent nod* lol ^^ Picasa makes it super easy to do, too.

I'm glad to hear that Sammy is here to stay for a good while yet! He really is a one of a kind sim, even if he's FAR beyond living just one lifetime. Seeing him complete all the challenges out there in life, seeing what happens to him in all sorts of situations, has been very entertaining--as well as seeing you grow as a writer, story-teller, and sims-lover!

Your love for your sims is so obvious and genuine--and you deserve all the <3 in the world for it. I'm just glad I've gotten to be a part of it, in more ways than one. :)

Keep it up, PiBsters! I'm here to stay if you are. ^-^ <33

  6. Actually, I may save collage-y goodness for something during NaNoWriMo as a way to distract one part of the brain while another works on the plot.

But not one collage - the plan is one of Sammy and his work outfits, another is Sammy and his spouses, followed by Sammy and his nearly infinite number of munchkins.

I think it's pretty safe to say, without Sammy I probably would have stopped Sims blogging well over a year ago. How good/bad a thing that is for the readers to work out. LOL

Certainly the practice at writing is a good thing for me - I'd lost what touch I had after a very very long writing hiatus. One of these centuries, I hope to finish typing up Chapter 3 of my long lost 1st novel.

Tis good to see you are still with this blog. Your blogs are simply soaring along these days.
