Hi Mum, it's Sammy clone 31 (Part 1)

I've gone to apply for a job.  No, Mum, I am not going to be a scientist, thank heavens.  I think that stuff could make you mad.  I've applied to be a ghost hunter.

The pay is rather pathetic.  I have a stippend of about 200 a week.  A week?  A guy might just as well stay home and write novels and starve in comfort.

Then I went to a local gathering spot.  I popped in this one because it had a great sign of a lounging lizard.  No idea what the place is called.  I'm dancing with Milly.

If Milly is typical of this town, I think they need the services of a stylist quite badly.  Mismatched clothes and the oddest makeup...

But I ignored all that.  I want to make a few friends in this burg, so I started with Milly.  We chatted about a lot of things; she told me a bit about town, I told her about my new place and new job.

I said hello to everyone who came in to the place and it did eventually have a lot of people.  I didn't get their pics though.

Going to my home sweet home.  It's small and unfurnished except for the basics.  All I can afford at the moment.

The guys at the science lab let me know that logic will help me with the job.  Since it's the only way I can prepare, I had a couple of games at the park.  Milly won both.

I got a little bit hungry and decided to grill some dogs.

This turned out to be a bit trickier than it looked.

But even a burnt dog is better than starving.

So I'm on call for any paranormal activity.  The hours suck 5 pm to 3 am.  Granted, that is when spirits are active but it means I go to work when most people are getting home.

My first job.  A house was infected with spirits.  Cute little buggers actually.  Just little dancing lights, I don't know why people are worried about them.

But I track each of them down.

And catch them with my ghost catching device.  There's a little chamber that holds the caught spirit, I have to use a fresh one for each ghost.

The kid came out just to applaud my work.  He was badly spooked by the spirits.

As was his dad.  I found out that I get paid per completed job as well as that stippend.  I forget how much I earned but it's something between 100 and 300 for a call like this.

I had a second call that night.

One of the fancier homes in town.

Even this nice place had a few spirits haunting the rooms.

Home at last for a quick meal and bed.  Not bad for my first couple of days in town.

  1. Ghost Hunter Sam! Millie looks like a kind soul even if she's a little misguided fashion-wise.

It must be nice to have appreciative clients. It might not pay that well at first and the hours are wonky but Sam seems to be doing well in his new profession.

The starter homes in Twinbrook really are quite primitive. Looks like Ambitions is working fine, PiB.

  2. So far, so good with Ambitions. Sam is actually on week 2 so we have some more posts coming.

Not my best Sammy story though - no plot or even a general idea of where it should go.

Next tests - Sam tries holidays. After we sort out if he can convince someone to move in with him.

  3. Bah, who needs a plot?!! It's all about the character!

What do you think of Twinbrook?

  4. Woohoo for Sammy the ghost buster!

    No plot needed.

LOL, yes, grilling hot dogs can be tricky sometimes.

    Isn't Ambitions great.

Can't wait to see the next one.

Warning: don't play tag. My sim played tag and got the running glitch.

  5. Chrysame, well, if it's all about character, Sammy has that to spare.

Twinbrook, it's taking me a little while to remember where everything is.

Going all misty at night makes for an interesting touch.

And if I ever take it into my head to do an Uglacy (legacy attempting to breed ugly Sims) - Twinbrook is the town for that. Many of those citizens are deformed.

  6. Dee, I don't know if the EP is great yet. But it's added stuff and now I have to see what. :)

You only got this episode because my sinuses woke me at 1:30 and I had to wait for drugs to kick in.

  7. I saw the time it arrived in my email and was wondering what you were doing posting at that time of the, your middle of the night.

Poor PiB, those sinuses can be hell.

I noticed something today that I thought you only got with a mod. I saw the police arrest a burglar and he actually handcuffed him. I couldn't see the handcuffs but the police did the police thing and that burglar still had his hands behind him when he was in the car.

I so agree about the uglacy.

  8. I have a feeling it's going to take a while for us to see all the stuff this game added.

  9. Ugh, sinuses really can make life miserable.

I got the running glitch with Marta from running to the bathroom to throw up when she was pregnant. It's very annoying.

Yep, Sam had character to spare!

It's just not uglacy in Twinbrook, no one grabbed me like Riverview's Jon Lessen or Sunset Valley's Alto's or so many others. Maybe I just didn't give it a chance.

  10. If you didn't give it a chance, I didn't either.
I played the game with Josh raising all those kids and I was all over that town. I just didn't see anyone like the ones we have in the other towns.
I did like the fog/mist. I liked some other things about it. I might have enjoyed it more if I had added a ton of our sims like I usually do. It also just seemed dreary with all those clouds and didn't have enough sunshine.
Maybe someday, I'll try it again with our sims in it.
I'm addicted to all those downloaded sims.

  11. I'm addicted to our sims, too.

Happy to see Sam running around Twinbrook. I'm happy to see Sam anywhere. :)

  12. I can't wait to try this profession out, it looks like a blast! Still holding myself back though.. can't do everything at once...

Twinbrook is such an awesome town. All the inhabitants are pretty deformed and colorblind, but it adds so much character. I don't think I'd have the heart to change them. ^^

  13. I heard a few of the NPC tattoo artists in Twinbrook are cute. I never paid much attention. I think I still have my test game. I should play a bit more and see if we can find a hot maid.

  14. Kaleeko, Sam certainly gets to blast a number of ghosts.

At the moment, the pics make it more exciting then the reality. You get cute ghosty music. But the spooks haven't been in the least aggressive, the worst we get is having to try twice to get one. I didn't realise until the second or third house that Sam can perform the chores without me. Once he's at the infested house, he'll track them all down. It might be quicker if you help though.

Still, we are only up to poltergeists so maybe they get tougher as Sam gets better.

Sam's maid is cute...and male. LOL. He's found one of ours to love but not a guy for this clone.

I have seen a few cute townies or at least reasonable ones. Plus some that are so fashion challenged...

  15. Oh, those clothes some of them wear are hilarious.
I've seen so many little things that have been added to the game.
I'm glad Sammy has found someone.

  16. At the rate I'm posting, you may even find out who in another post or three. :)

  17. Excellent. I'm ready to find out. After my morning walk, that is!
